Fundraising Charity for 2016

Transport For Sick Children is a charity with a team of volunteers who give up their time and use their own cars to take sick children from needy families to hospital and health appointments, we have volunteers in Oldham and throughout the Greater Manchester districts.

Children are taken to The Royal Oldham for general treatment but most specialist care is provided at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital however our volunteers also take children to highly specialist treatment centres at Alderhey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and also to hospitals as far away as Birmingham and Newcastle.

For further information on the charity here is a link to their web site

Here is a link to an article about the work they do that was published in the Oldham Chronicle

First Fundraiser of 2015

Saddleworth WI's first fundraiser of 2015 was a fantastic fashion show which raised funds for our chosen community group this year - Funky Fitness & Fun with the help of Unique Fashions.

The whole afternoon was a massive success with some lovely models, fizz and food, great atmosphere and best of all we raised over £800!!!

A huge thank you to all that helped with this event and also to those who very kindly donated some great raffle prizes!
