YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW

Each month we will provide a workshop or taster session covering a wide variety of subjects. We hope to use local, independent small business in and around Saddleworth.

These workshops will provide activities in a fun, practical and hands-on way enabling members to make contact with people with similar interests, make new friends and get together with old ones.

Details of each workshop will be updated monthly.

ELLA McINTOSH | Pewter Pendant Making

Give traditional metalwork a bash to create your own pendant or keyring using the unusual and age-old technique of cuttlefish casting. Ella will guide you through a variety of process from mould making to pouring molten pewter to reveal your design. You will then finish your casting using jewellery tools before polishing to proudly take home. A fascinating way to create your own design!

This workshop is to be held in the Loom Shop on the second floor of the Weavers Factory in Uppermill. The number of places are low to enable Ella to give each student the right amount of attention, creating both a relaxed and pleasurable experience. Free tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
