You would be very welcome to try walking with us. Just let us know you are coming then turn up at the starting point, adequately equipped with appropriate footwear (preferably boots), warm and waterproof clothing. August Evening Walk - Monday 19th August
Circular Walk around Walkerwood Reservoir (Stalybridge/Millbrook)
Meeting time: 6.30 pm
Meeting Place: Brushes Road, Stalybridge (park as far along the road as possible and meet at the very top of the road where it turns into a narrower track opposite some new houses).
Distance: 4/5 miles.Details: Mostly paths with some stoney stretches that are uneven under foot. Lovely views. Suitable for dogs.
There isn't a Sunday morning walk in August as it is Yanks weekend.
September 15th (NB A week later than usual and the second Sunday in the month):
Digley Reservoir and the Ramsden Valley Circular
Meeting time: 10.30 am
Meeting Place: Digley Reservoir Car Park
Distance: 6 milesDetails: A moderate, fairly low level walk via Holme village and pub taking in 5 reservoirs. More details to follow.
Sunday October 6th
Mills Hill, Chadderton to Tandle Hill Circular.
